The clocks have gone forward, the evenings are lighter, the Daffodils are blooming. Yes, it’s officially Spring! But is your house ready? If your home is still feeling a bit cosy from the winter, here are our top tips to get it ready for Spring.

UPDATE YOUR SOFT FURNISHINGS
You’ve cosied up all winter with wool, velvet and tweed – but these fabrics can feel too heavy during the warmer months.

Change up your soft furnishings using lightweight , colourful throws and printed cotton cushions. An instant way to give your rooms a burst of colour and freshness.

REFRESH YOUR BEDDING
Most of us will spend a third of our life in bed – so we deserve to treat ourselves once in a while!

Splurge on some new bed linen this season, choose fresh, spring colours and funky patterns. This is a great way to brighten up your bedroom and may even motivate you to make your bed more often!

FLOWERS & FOLIAGE
Bring the outside in and add an instant burst of freshness to your rooms. Grab some vases and jugs and fill them with flowers and foliage from the garden and hedgerows.

With Bluebells, Cowslip, Primrose and Daffodils all in season, we’re sure you can create a beautiful arrangement for next to nothing!

CLEAR OUT YOUR WARDROBE
Spring is the perfect time to clear out your closet. Winter jumpers and coats can be boxed up and put away til Autumn.

Break out your lighter shirts, skirts, cropped trousers and dresses. And be brutal! Donate anything you haven’t worn in months to friends or the local charity shop.

GET RE-AQUAINTED WITH YOUR GARDEN
The sun is out, it’s time to head back out into the garden!

Clean off your garden furniture, bring out cushions and throws and enjoy lunch al fresco.

Cheer up your flower beds by planting seeds or plug plants. If you’re feeling ambitious why not plant some veg? Potatoes and Green Beans are particularly well suited to the British summer climate.

CLEAN WINDOWS AND OPEN THEM UP
There is no better way to freshen up your home than by throwing open the windows and letting the fresh air in.

Give your windows a good clean  - your window cleaner had probably kept the outside of them clean during the winter, but have you paid any attention to the inside of them?

Mix up your own glass cleaner, spray on to a soft cloth and wipe those windows til they sparkle!

What are your favourite ways to ping a little spring into your home? We’d love to hear your tips.
